As many of you have noted, there appears to be an increase in cars speeding within the estate. The Residents Association contacted the council regarding these complaints and asked them to investigate the residents concerns.
Initially the council claimed that they had carried out a survey in 2010 and that speeding was not an issue and therefore they would not carry out another check. Once we pointed out that in 2010 many road surfaces were still incomplete with large raised manhole covers ensuring that speeding was impossible they confirmed another survey would take place.
Several weeks ago a speed logging device was placed by Daventry District Council on Farnborough drive near to The Vale pedestrian crossing, this was removed on Tuesday (03/07/12).
