Promising news folks !!
Road surfacing
After many years of delays we have finally been told that completion works are due to commence soon to complete Hidcote Way and Claydon Road.
A recent email received from Councillor David James advises
“that a contract for highway completion works in Middlemore has been awarded to Danaher and Walsh, who are proposing to begin works on the 5th Aug. The contract period is expected to last eight weeks”
Cycleway link to Braunston
Great news the Old Railway line, commonly known to locals as Black Path now has agreed funding to complete its link from Middlemore all the way to Braunston. This is subject to planning consent been given for the works to go ahead.

This is finally some great news for us folks! As most of you know we have been pushing for completion of these roads for some years now and for one reason or another the dates have kept moving back further and further.
Fingers crossed Futures Housing Development will press on and be completed soon and Crowncare will get underway with their plans for the retirement village at the far end of Farnborough Drive.
We also await promising news with regards to the Heartlands bus exit.
