Dear residents – I have received an update from Michal Slavik, the site agent of Danaher and Walsh who are carrying out road completion works throughout Middlemore.
Some households directly affected have been written to with advice with regard to completing preparation works and ongoing plans to complete the roadworks. This week (w.c 9th September) the MAIN SURFACING WORKS COMMENCE. In order to complete the works on time they need YOUR ASSISTANCE to adhere to phasing plans and traffic management and not leaving your cars parked on the road in areas where we will be working. They have asked residents to refrain from parking your vehicles in sections of roads that are due for closures from 7:30 am at the latest.
Main Surfacing Works:
Monday 9th Sep – Phase 1
Tuesday 10th Sep – Phase 2 and laybys in Phase 1 (Hidcote Way) Wednesday 11th Sep – Phase 3
Thursday 12th Sep – Phase 4 – Main Estate Roundabout Off A361
In the event that any vehicles are parked within the area of full closures they advise they will have to proceed the removal that is chargeable to the owner of vehicle. This would be the last instance, but we have to be prepared for it. (Police have stated that cars in question will be held for 28 days, charges apply including storage / day and then cars will be disposed of by the police).
There will be a diversion route in place for every closure but as you are aware some of the streets will not have the access for the duration of the particular closure as there are no alternative roads.
They apologise for any disruption that may be caused during our works and thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.
Should any residents encounter any issues or have any questions please contact Danaher and Walsh Site Agent – Michal Slavik on 07702 867 187.
