For those of you who have recently complained about noise nuisance on Middlemore we attach copy of communication that has been sent to residents who have complained to the Environmental officer at Daventry District Council. (The email is from Paul Knight )
“This email has been sent to all residents who’ve recently made complaints about noise nuisance alleged to be emanating from the businesses Multi Colour Labels (MCC) and Brian James Trailers (BJT).
The noise nuisance reported is characterised as a droning or whining type noise that is particularly evident late at night when set against quieter background noise levels. One source is thought to be from a specific air con unit mounted on the rear of the MCC building, the other from a generator operating at BJT. I myself have also witnessed loud banging noises from BJT whilst standing outside their building on Sopwith Way.
My colleague Mike Jephcott will lead the investigation. He conducted monitoring at 9pm and midnight on Tuesday 21st August 2018 but did not consider that noise emanating from the estate was at an unreasonable level at these times. Whilst the Council will continue to monitor noise levels over the next few weeks it is important that we build up a picture of the nature and extent of the nuisance which effects local residents, and so I would request that you complete the attached log sheet for a period of 2/3 weeks and then submit it to the Council. We will also deploy noise monitoring kit at key locations including the premises of residents considered to be worst affected by the noise, and we will also enter into a dialogue with the two businesses concerned to see if a reduction in noise levels can be obtained informally.
It is my intention to provide you with an update on the investigation by Friday 14th September.”
HAVE YOU REPORTED THIS PREVIOSULY AND NOT HAD A RESPONSE OR MAYBE NOT REPORTED IT…. WE WOULD URGE TO CONTACT MICHAEL JEPHCOTT AT DDC. HE WILL SEND YOU SOME NOISE NUISANCE FORMS.
WE CAN ALSO EMAIL COPIES OF THIS FORM TO YOU – drop us a line info@middlemore.co
I hear this noise late at night and early in the morning quite regularly especially in the summer when windows are open, it can be very disturbing, I have often wondered what it could be, could this please be investigated as it is quite a nuisance.
In anticipation of your Kind attention.
